Privacy Policy
Last updated October 4, 2026
Keeping company information private is what we do, so we hold ourselves to the same standard. This page explains what we collect on this site, why, who helps us handle it, and how to have it removed.
Who we are
Customs Data Lock LLC ("we", "us") runs customsdatalock.com. Questions about this policy go to services@customsdatalock.com.
What we collect
What you type into our forms. Depending on the form: your first name, job title, work email, phone number, company legal name and any other names it ships under, business address, company website, your answers to the pricing questions, the reason you gave for a check, a message, and the time you booked for a call.
What we find in the lookup. When you ask for a Free Exposure Check, we search the public trade platforms for your company and record what they already show: shipment records, supplier names, product descriptions and similar details. This information is already public. We collect it to show you your exposure.
If you become a customer. The entities and names we cover, your renewal dates, and the documents we send you. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
Technical details. Your IP address and browser type, used to keep the forms free of spam and abuse, and basic information about which pages are visited, used in aggregate to improve the site.
How we use it
- To answer your request: run your exposure check, prepare your quote or proposal, or call you at the time you booked.
- To provide and maintain protection for customers, including watching the public platforms under your names.
- To send you the emails you asked for, such as your report, your quote and renewal notices.
- To keep the site secure and working, and to understand which pages help people.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
- We do not use tracking pixels or advertising cookies.
- We do not add you to a marketing sequence because you asked a question.
Who helps us
A few service providers handle information for us, each only for the job below and under their own security and privacy terms.
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts this website. |
| Supabase | Stores form submissions and customer records in our database, and handles customer sign-in. |
| Resend | Delivers the emails we send you, and tells our team when a new request arrives. |
| Stripe | Processes payments for customers. |
| Lets customers sign in with their Google account, if they choose to. |
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our customers, our company or others from fraud or harm.
How long we keep it
We keep requests for as long as we need them to respond and follow up. Customer records are kept while you are a customer and as long afterward as tax and legal obligations require. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it or delete it.
- Stop any email from us. Every email has a way to reply and ask, or write to services@customsdatalock.com.
Email services@customsdatalock.com with your request. We respond within 30 days, and we will not treat you differently for asking. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law. We honor those requests the same way.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it to do their job, and our providers keep it on secured infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, so if you think something is wrong, tell us right away.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by email before it takes effect.
